Naulus collects health-related data to coach you well, food and workout logs, body metrics, and the goals you share. Here's exactly what we collect, why, and the control you keep over it.
1. What we collect
Contact details you give us: your name, email, and the goal you describe when you book a call or sign up.
Health and fitness data you log in the app: meals and macros, workouts and sets, bodyweight and other body metrics, training locations and equipment, and the messages you send the coach. This is sensitive health data and we treat it that way.
Technical data: basic device and usage information needed to run the app, keep it secure, and fix problems.
2. Why we collect it
To provide the coaching and run the app: compute your daily targets, adapt your plan, log your progress, and send the reminders you opt into.
To improve the service and keep it secure. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your health data to train third-party advertising models.
3. Health data, handled carefully
Your logs and body metrics are used to coach you, not to judge you. Access is limited to what's needed to deliver the service. We don't share your individual health data with advertisers or data brokers.
If we ever use aggregate, de-identified data to understand how the service performs, it won't identify you.
4. Who we share it with
Service providers that help us operate, such as our database/hosting provider, email delivery, and (if you pay online) a payment processor. They handle data on our instructions under their own safeguards.
Legal reasons: if required by law or to protect the safety and rights of users. We'll push back on overbroad requests.
We never sell your data.
5. Reminders and notifications
Coaching nudges and reminders are opt-in and titrated, you choose the categories, set quiet hours, and can turn them off entirely in the app's settings. Installing the app to your home screen is what enables device reminders; you stay in control of whether you get them.
6. Your rights and controls
You can view and edit your logs in the app, ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, and close your account. Email hello@naulus.com and we'll action it. Deleting your account removes your personal data except where we must retain limited records (for example, payment records) by law.
7. Data retention and security
We keep your data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward, then delete or anonymize it. We use industry-standard safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure, so we can't promise absolute security.
8. Children
Naulus is for adults. It isn't directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we'll remove it.
