A glucose disposal rate (GDR) below 5.3 mg/kgFFM+17.7 min during an 80 mU/m2·min hyperinsulinemic-euglycemic clamp identifies insulin resistance with 83% sensitivity and 96% specificity.

If your metabolic test uses a lower insulin dose (80 mU/m2·min), a glucose disposal rate below 4.1 mg/kg fat-free mass per minute is a strong indicator of insulin resistance, with very high specificity.
