Combining amylin receptor agonist (cagrilintide) with GLP-1 RA (semaglutide) results in greater weight reduction than semaglutide monotherapy.
Combining cagrilintide 2.4 mg and semaglutide 2.4 mg, both injected once weekly, leads to 17.1% body weight loss over 20 weeks, which is significantly better than semaglutide alone (9.8%).
GoodSupportsHIGH confidence
After 20 weeks... the group that received the combination of semaglutide 2.4 mg plus cagrilintide 2.4 mg weekly lost 17.1% weight, whereas the group that received monotherapy with semaglutide 2.4 mg weekly lost 9.8% weight
Why this rating
Based on a Phase Ib trial with 95 participants, which is smaller than Phase III trials.
