Treatment with GLP-1 receptor agonists (semaglutide or dulaglutide) significantly reduces biochemical markers of liver fibrosis (FIB-4 score) and inflammation (De Ritis ratio) in patients with type 2 diabetes and MASLD over 180 days.

For patients with Type 2 Diabetes and fatty liver disease, GLP-1 agonists like semaglutide or dulaglutide (taken weekly) can significantly improve liver health markers (specifically fibrosis risk scores) over 6 months, even without changes to diet or exercise.
