Adherence
COVID-19 home confinement leads to unhealthy dietary patterns, including increased consumption of unhealthy food, loss of control over eating, increased snacking, and a higher number of main meals per day.
During confinement, be aware that your eating habits may become less healthy due to stress and boredom. Monitor your intake of unhealthy foods, limit snacking between meals, and try to maintain a regular meal schedule. If you feel the urge to eat out of control, pause and identify if you are hungry or emotionally driven.
Food consumption and meal patterns (the type of food, eating out of control, snacks between meals, number of main meals) were more unhealthy during confinement, with only alcohol binge drinking decreasing significantly.
