For a patient with uncontrolled Type 2 Diabetes, switching to a strict Low Carbohydrate Diet (approx. 12% carbs) can rapidly lower average blood glucose and reduce daily spikes within days. This approach prioritizes hormonal regulation (insulin sensitivity) over simple calorie counting, though it requires medical supervision to manage ketone levels and medication adjustments.
LCD showed a remarkable glucose-lowering effect in short term... On day-11, the daily profile of blood glucose showed almost normal range. Furthermore, the fluctuation between preprandial and postprandial blood glucose has been decreasing gradually and remarkably.
