Mobile phone app interventions do not result in a statistically significant increase in physical activity compared to control groups.

Do not rely on a mobile app alone to significantly increase your physical activity levels. While apps help with weight loss, this review found they do not significantly boost physical activity compared to other methods. Focus on other strategies for increasing activity.
