Weight loss in obese individuals significantly reduces elevated serum Tumor Necrosis Factor-alpha (TNFα) concentrations, which may contribute to the restoration of insulin sensitivity.

For obese individuals, losing weight through a caloric deficit and exercise can lower inflammatory markers like TNFα. This biological improvement may help restore the body's sensitivity to insulin, making further weight management potentially easier over time.
