If you are overweight or obese, your sleep duration may be shorter than that of normal-weight individuals. While this study is observational, it suggests that prioritizing sleep duration (even small increases, such as 20 minutes per night) could be a low-risk, high-reward strategy to support weight management efforts alongside diet and exercise.
