Rosiglitazone treatment reduces serum A-SAA levels and adipose A-SAA secretion in obese individuals independent of changes in body weight or fat mass.

This study shows that the drug rosiglitazone can significantly reduce inflammatory markers (A-SAA) in obese individuals without requiring weight loss. This suggests that some medications target specific inflammatory pathways in fat tissue directly.
