Adherence

Among Saudi male college students, higher frequency of snacking and eating away from family is associated with higher BMI and visceral fat levels, whereas eating with family and consuming dates are inversely correlated with these adiposity metrics.

For young adults, especially students living away from home, prioritizing meals with family or social groups may help maintain a healthier weight. Additionally, incorporating snacks into your daily routine might not be harmful if it prevents you from overeating during main meals. Focus on the total amount of food consumed per sitting rather than just the number of eating occasions.

Similar correlations were also found between BMI and snacks consumption rate (P = 0.018), as well as, between VFL and the frequency of eating dates (P = 0.013)... Both BMI and VFL had significant inverse correlation with the frequency of eating with family (P = 0.005 and 0.007 respectively).
