Moderate alcohol consumption is associated with a reduced risk of developing incident chronic kidney disease (CKD) compared to no or low consumption.

If you drink alcohol, do so in moderation. The study suggests that moderate consumption is associated with a reduced risk of CKD compared to no consumption. However, heavy drinking may be harmful. Follow public health guidelines for alcohol consumption.
