Dairy consumption is associated with small weight loss, decreased fat mass, and increased lean body mass, but does not reliably aid in weight loss through caloric restriction alone.

Dairy may help with body composition by preserving muscle and reducing fat, but it is not a magic weight-loss solution. Focus on overall diet quality.
