Macro partitioning

Distinguishing between unique fixed point and invariant manifold body composition models requires perturbations that directly alter body composition (e.g., resistance exercise, growth hormone) rather than just energy balance.

To truly understand how your body partitions weight loss, you need to look at how it responds to changes in muscle mass or hormonal status, not just calorie deficits. Standard diets won't tell you if your body has a rigid composition set point or flexible states.

ModerateSupportsMEDIUM confidence
Only a perturbation that moves the body composition off of the fixed trajectory could distinguish between the two classes.
