Adherence

High digital engagement (defined as attending ≥1 coaching session, logging weight ≥4 times/month, and using app features) significantly enhances weight loss efficacy and accelerates milestone achievement in patients treated with dual GIP/GLP-1RA or GLP-1RA, without increasing safety risks.

To get the most out of your GLP-1 or dual GIP/GLP-1RA medication, actively use the digital support tools provided. This means attending at least one coaching session, logging your weight at least four times a month, and interacting with the app's educational features. This level of engagement is associated with losing 4.5% more body weight and reaching your weight loss goals faster, without increasing your risk of side effects. Treat these digital tools as essential parts of your treatment, not optional extras.

ModerateSupportsHIGH confidence
Digital engagement was associated with 4.5 percentage points greater weight loss (21.5% vs. 17.0%), faster milestone achievement, and comparable safety profiles.

Why this rating

Large retrospective cohort (N=106,653) with robust statistical modeling (MMRM, Cox), but non-randomized design introduces potential selection bias.
