For patients with both fatty liver disease and type 2 diabetes, tirzepatide is a well-tolerated treatment that significantly reduces liver fat, improves liver enzyme levels, and slows down fibrosis markers over 48 weeks. While gastrointestinal side effects like nausea are common, they are typically mild and do not force most patients to stop the medication.
