If you have heart failure and are prescribed tirzepatide, you may see significant improvements in your blood sugar control and lipid profile within six months. Metabolic parameters showed marked improvements. HbA1c levels decreased from a baseline mean of 8.2% ± 1.1% to 6.9% ± 0.9% at six months, and fasting plasma glucose levels reduced from 156 ± 25 mg/dL to 122 ± 20 mg/dL (Table 2). Lipid profile parameters demonstrated significant improvements over the six-month period. Total cholesterol levels decreased from 210 ± 30 mg/dL to 180 ± 25 mg/dL, while LDL cholesterol dropped from 135 ± 25 mg/dL to 110 ± 20 mg/dL. Moreover, HDL cholesterol increased from 42 ± 8 mg/dL to 48 ± 7 mg/dL, and triglycerides decreased from 180 ± 35 mg/dL to 150 ± 30 mg/dL (p < 0.001).
