If you have type 2 diabetes, your medication is not a shield against lifestyle collapse. During periods of forced inactivity or dietary change, your blood sugar can deteriorate rapidly, even if you feel 'well-controlled.' Monitor your levels closely during disruptions, and prioritize maintaining basic physical activity and dietary consistency, as these factors may outweigh your medication's immediate effect.
