Resistance training significantly increases muscle mass and functional capacity in pre-frail and frail elderly individuals, but the addition of 7.5g/day leucine supplementation provides no additional benefit over training alone.

If you are an older adult with pre-frailty or frailty, focus on consistent resistance training twice a week. Adding 7.5g of leucine daily will not provide extra muscle or strength benefits compared to training alone. Save your money and prioritize the exercise.
