GG genotype subjects with protein intake > 18% of their total daily energy intake had higher waist circumference (Fig. 3A), BMI (Fig. 3B), total body fat content (Fig. 3C)... significantly higher HOMA-IR (Fig. 3I). The GG genotype participants from the upper quantiles of fat intake showed... higher VAT content (Fig. 4B)... as well as higher VAT/SAT ratio (Fig. 4C)... significantly higher HDL-C concentrations (Fig. 4D).
