A study by Smith et al [98], on healthy elderly adults receiving u3 FA for 6 months, in a double-blind RCT, reported a significant increment in thigh volume (3.6%), grip strength (2.3 kg), and 1 repetition maximum muscle strength (4.0%) even in absence of an exercise intervention.
