Energy balance

Physical activity provides significant health benefits and aids in weight maintenance independent of, and often superior to, diet-induced weight loss alone, refuting the notion that one 'cannot outrun a bad diet'.

Do not rely on diet alone for long-term health or weight management. While diet is effective for short-term weight loss, physical activity is essential for maintaining that loss and provides unique health protections (e.g., against hypertension, diabetes, cancer) that persist even if your weight doesn't change. Prioritize regular movement as a non-negotiable component of health, regardless of your dietary choices.

Evidence shows that you can out-exercise/out-work poor nutritional choices... It is incontrovertible that exercise can and does result in weight loss... being physically active is associated with a myriad of health benefits some of which are simply not achieved through diet-induced weight loss.
