If you are new to resistance training, adding a moderate amount of cheese (providing ~13g of protein) on your workout days can help improve your body fat and cholesterol levels more than training alone. You do not need to consume large amounts of protein; a medium dose (approx. 216g of the specific cheese used) split around your workout is sufficient. Do not expect this to make you stronger faster than training alone, as strength gains were similar across all groups.
Four weeks of RT combined with medium-dose cheese supplementation had the best improvements, including the decrease of body weight, BMI, fat mass, fat percentage, and TC and LDL-C levels.
