The presence of cardiovascular (CV) or metabolic comorbidities significantly reduces health-related quality of life (HRQoL) and work productivity in people with overweight or obesity, often more so than BMI alone.

Having overweight or obesity is only part of the story. If you also have heart or metabolic conditions (like diabetes), your quality of life and work productivity are likely significantly lower than someone with the same BMI but no comorbidities. Treating these specific conditions is crucial for your well-being.
