While dietary fiber consistently modulates gut microbiota composition and fermentation markers (SCFAs), evidence for direct physiological health benefits (e.g., changes in blood lipids, glucose, insulin, or satiety) from fiber-induced microbiota modulation is limited and inconsistent in current literature.

Don't expect immediate changes in blood sugar or cholesterol from fiber alone. The primary benefit is supporting gut bacteria. Focus on long-term consistency rather than quick fixes.

There is also just one study published so far examining bone health in the context of dietary fiber and the gut microbiota... Of the other physiologic outcomes examined in these studies, most were related to GI health. Only a few studies measured lipids, glucose, or insulin, and of those that did, only one study found a significant effect on total cholesterol and insulin.
