Reduction in cervical subcutaneous adipose tissue (cervical-SAT) is independently associated with improvements in lipid profiles (triglycerides, LDL-C, cholesterol/HDL ratio) and leptin levels, independent of visceral adipose tissue (VAT).

Losing neck fat may be a sign of improving metabolic health, specifically lipid profiles and leptin sensitivity. While you cannot spot-reduce, the reduction of this specific fat depot correlates with better blood lipid control, independent of how much belly fat you lose.
