Structured calorie-restricted diets (800-1,800 kcal) can induce diabetes remission in obese Korean adults with early-onset Type 2 Diabetes, with remission rates up to 75%.

If you have recently been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and are obese, a structured diet starting at 800 calories and moving to 1,200-1,800 calories can potentially put your diabetes into remission, especially if you stop other medications under doctor supervision.
