High television viewing time is significantly associated with increased all-cause and cardiovascular disease mortality, independent of physical activity levels.

If you watch a lot of TV, be aware that it increases your risk of early death, even if you exercise regularly. To mitigate this, try to stand up or move briefly every 30-60 minutes rather than sitting for hours continuously.
