High-fat Western diets promote gut dysbiosis characterized by increased Gram-negative bacteria, leading to metabolic endotoxemia (circulating LPS), systemic inflammation, and insulin resistance.

Reduce saturated fats and increase fiber intake. This shifts gut bacteria away from endotoxin-producing species, lowering circulating LPS and reducing the risk of insulin resistance and inflammation.
