Macro partitioning
There is no single ideal macronutrient distribution (carbohydrate, protein, fat percentages) for all people with diabetes; eating patterns should be individualized based on preferences, metabolic goals, and cultural factors.
Don't look for a 'perfect' diet for diabetes. There isn't one. Choose an eating pattern (Mediterranean, DASH, low-carb, etc.) that fits your culture, budget, and taste, and adjust it to meet your blood sugar and lipid goals.
