Activation of AMPK in adipose tissue stimulates fatty acid oxidation and inhibits lipogenesis (fat synthesis) by inactivating Acetyl-CoA Carboxylase (ACC).
AMPK activation helps fat cells burn fat for energy and stops them from creating new fat, primarily by blocking a key enzyme called ACC.
