The molecular signaling responses to acute resistance and endurance exercise are often similar in untrained or recreationally active individuals, suggesting the interference effect may be less pronounced or mechanistically distinct in this population.

If you are new to exercise, you likely won't experience the 'interference effect' as strongly as an athlete. You can probably combine cardio and weights without worrying too much about blunting gains, as your body is still adapting to both stimuli.
