Increased caloric intake in non-obese individuals does not replicate the excessive cholesterol secretion seen in obesity.
Eating a lot of calories doesn't automatically make your bile supersaturated if you are not obese. The defect is specific to the obese state, suggesting that body composition, not just current food intake, drives the risk.

Likewise, chronic intake of hypercaloric diets by nonobese subjects did not reproduce the cholesterol hypersecretion characteristic of the obese.
