Specific gut bacteria, including Bacteroides fragilis (via Polysaccharide A) and Faecalibacterium prausnitzii, can enhance the efficacy of cancer immunotherapy (ICB) by modulating T-cell responses and reducing inflammation.

For cancer patients undergoing immunotherapy, maintaining gut health through a diverse, fiber-rich diet may support the efficacy of treatment. While specific NGPs like B. fragilis and F. prausnitzii show promise, they are not yet standard clinical interventions. Consult with oncology teams before making significant dietary changes.
