In tertiary-care diabetic populations, comprehensive management of glycemic, lipid, and blood pressure targets (ABC control) remains suboptimal, with only 20.2% of patients achieving all preset control goals despite high medication availability.

For patients managing diabetes, simply having access to medication is not enough to guarantee health outcomes. This data suggests that achieving comprehensive control (blood sugar, lipids, and blood pressure) is difficult, with only 1 in 5 patients succeeding in a high-resource setting. Focus on the 'why' behind uncontrolled numbers, as medication availability alone does not solve the metabolic burden.
