High-intensity interval training (HIT) improves aerobic capacity, mitochondrial function, and cardiac function in heart failure patients, but carries higher inherent risks requiring caution.

If you have stable heart failure, high-intensity interval training (short bursts of high effort followed by rest) can significantly improve your heart's pumping ability and energy levels more than moderate continuous exercise. However, this must be done under medical supervision due to safety risks.
