If you have a family history of obesity, you may be genetically predisposed to gain weight more easily, especially if you consume high-calorie foods or are sedentary. This doesn't mean you can't manage your weight, but it may require more consistent attention to diet quality (e.g., high fiber, controlled portions) and regular physical activity than someone without that genetic risk. Focus on modifiable environmental factors, as these are the primary drivers of obesity.
