Physiologic levels of nitric oxide reduce mitochondrial oxidative stress and ROS production by lowering mitochondrial membrane potential, thereby protecting against cellular aging and oxidative damage.

Regular physical activity stimulates NO production, which helps mitochondria operate more efficiently. This efficiency reduces the production of harmful free radicals (ROS) during exercise, protecting your cells from oxidative stress and aging.
