Trans-resveratrol improves insulin sensitivity in skeletal muscle cells by potentiating insulin-induced Akt activation via AMPK activation.
Resveratrol may make your body's insulin work better in muscle cells. This happens when you have insulin present, suggesting it might help manage blood sugar more effectively if you have some insulin production or are using insulin therapy, but this is only proven in cell cultures.
