Agmatine, a polyamine-related compound produced by gut bacteria and plants, reduces body weight gain, fat depots, and atherosclerotic lesions in high-fat diet-fed animal models.
Agmatine, found in plants and produced by gut bacteria, shows promise in animal studies for reducing fat accumulation and atherosclerosis in obese models. However, specific dosing and human efficacy are not established in this review. It is not currently a standard clinical recommendation for weight loss.
