Consumption of probiotic cheese containing Lactobacillus plantarum TENSIA (50g/day) alongside a hypocaloric diet significantly reduces Body Mass Index (BMI) and morning diastolic blood pressure in obese hypertensive patients compared to control cheese, with effects correlated to the degree of bacterial colonization.
