Eating fast food frequently (weekly or more) significantly lowers your overall diet quality, reducing your intake of fruits, vegetables, and olive oil while increasing fat and sugar. To maintain a high-quality diet, limit fast food frequency.

The consumption of fast food more than once per week increased the risk of overall low diet quality (P, 0.001)... participants with the highest frequency (more than once per week) of eating a product from a fast food outlet showed the lowest adherence to the MDS (OR 4.30 (95 % CI 1.82, 10.05)) and HEI (OR 3.91 (95 % CI 1.69, 9.02)).
