Energy balance

Baseline metabolite levels (BCAA, tyrosine, betaine, choline) do not predict the magnitude of weight loss achieved after bariatric surgery or lifestyle interventions.

Your baseline blood levels of BCAA, tyrosine, betaine, or choline will not tell you how much weight you will lose after surgery or a diet program. While these markers might predict whether your diabetes remits, they do not predict the magnitude of weight loss.
