Energy balance

High-protein diets do not enhance weight or fat loss compared to lower-protein diets when total energy intake is strictly fixed.

If you are counting calories strictly, increasing protein won't make you lose more weight than a lower-protein diet with the same calories. The benefit of protein comes from helping you eat less naturally, not from burning more fat directly.
