Energy balance
Meditative movements do not significantly reduce Body Mass Index (BMI) in patients with Type 2 Diabetes.
Do not expect meditative movements like Tai Chi or Yoga to significantly lower your BMI. However, they still provide significant benefits for blood sugar and cholesterol control, making them valuable for overall diabetes management.
ModerateRefutesMEDIUM confidence
No improvement was found in BMI.
Why this rating
Meta-analysis of RCTs, but high heterogeneity (I2=95%) limits precision.
