In older adults, daily coffee consumption is associated with a decrease in body fat percentage, whereas consuming coffee only a few times per week is associated with an increase in body fat percentage compared to daily consumers.

If you are an older adult, drinking coffee daily might be associated with lower body fat compared to drinking it sporadically. However, this effect is small, and the study suggests it may be indirect (e.g., via gut microbiota or appetite). Do not rely on coffee alone for fat loss; focus on overall diet and activity.
