Energy balance

Time-restricted eating (TRE) does not significantly change systolic or diastolic blood pressure in adults.

Do not expect TRE to lower blood pressure significantly on its own. If you have hypertension, continue standard medical management.

ModerateRefutesMEDIUM confidence
The systolic blood pressure showed no significant change after TRE intervention [MD of −0.212 mmHg (95% CI: −2.721 to 2.298, p = 0.869)... Similarly, the diastolic blood pressure demonstrated no significant change [MD of 0.466 mmHg (95% CI: −1.207 to 2.140, p = 0.585)]
