Time-restricted eating (TRE) combined with caloric restriction (CR) does not yield superior weight loss compared to caloric restriction alone in overweight and obese women.

If you are already restricting calories to lose weight, adding a strict eating window may not give you any extra weight loss benefit. You can achieve similar results with just calorie control.
