Higher daily hours of television viewing are positively associated with higher body mass index (BMI) in adult women, particularly low-income women.

For women, watching more TV per day is linked to higher body weight. This link is strongest for low-income women. To manage weight, reducing TV time may help lower overall calorie intake.
