Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) are not the primary cause of aging; instead, they are a consequence of mitochondrial dysfunction, and moderate ROS increases can extend lifespan via mitohormesis.

Avoid excessive antioxidant supplementation that might blunt the adaptive benefits of exercise. Embrace moderate metabolic stress (like exercise) which generates ROS as a signal to improve mitochondrial efficiency and longevity.
